Greetings. Newbie entry to Fender forums. Jazz entry (my only).
Vintage '66 purchased in '77 (from pawn shop when I was in college).
First Fender. Incredible tone plays like dream.
Researching info on another Jazz I so foolishly sold in '76.
Mid '70's? maple Pearloid lollipop custom paint/ guard.
Have only artist friend's rendering.

What's up? This is my first time posting. Here is my #1. '66 Jazz that I picked it up 29 years ago.

I almost forgot about this thread. Speaking of Jazz Basses, I was watching "Antiques Roadshow" last night, and they had a 1968 Jazz Bass on there , in Sunburst, with a rosewood board, and pearl block inlays, and it still had the bridge cover on it. It was a nice example. The woman's (who brought it in) father, who was in Vietnam, bought in Hong Kong, and only paid $90 for it, at the time, and I think had it shipped home, since he had to do his Southeast Asian vacation, and couldn't take it there. Now it's worth between $4500 and $5500.

Thanks Mr Nylon and PaulLF.

Yeah, I think it looks good too. It's easy to play and is loaded with CS 60's pups. I'm running GHS Precision Flats on it, and my P bass too and they sound great.

I visit back here every once in a while and it seems real quiet most of the time. Seems like you guys have the forum to yourselves these days.

Peace fellas, see ya soon.

Yeah, there seemed to be a lot more people around years ago, but I guess that's the case with a lot of forums, with things like Facebook, and all. How do yo like those GHS flats? I've been looking around to trying different brands to change things up a bit.
