Thanks Paul, it's a decent one for sure. I was able to play it today for about an hour. A very minor adjustment to the V-4B head. The head is more Fenderized, and I almost didn't realize how loud I was playing for a bit. Image

And the total winner of the PG's competition is, the Mint Green that was factory installed. Image

The mint guard contrasts the Olympic White hue perfectly.

Well, you can't go wrong with a matching Precision.

It's sounds good, but myself and Precisions just don't work well together. I due agree with the Mint Green PG contrasting the Olympic White hue. I don't know that I'd change it out with a White PG. as I usually do with Olympic White jazzes.

I know you've not been too keen with them, but I also like the tort pick guards on them.

Torts are cool. I have two Jazz Torts that are the way I like Torts to look like.

Yeah, they didn't have a certain color to them, didn't they?

Some have to much gold flake, or are to red. I like them more brown in color.

That's what that was. I remember my Schecter had more of a reddish tint to it with it's tort pick guard. Oh by the way, I wound up having it put on consignment where the bass cabs are being for sale. I don't know if I told you about that, or not. I was debating it, but it wasn't biting on Craig's List, or Facebook classifieds. Maybe it will move there. It's really a decent bass, albeit a heavy one. It sounds amazing. I've been into the whole short scale hollow body thing lately, so that's what's been comfortable for me.

Short scales can be a nice change from the long scales. Those hollow bodies being lighter are nice to play too. It's tough deciding what basses to hang on to. I went forever to get to the three I have.

I've still been picking up the Jazz from time to time, and occasionally the Peavey, as well. But, my serious practice has been with the violin bass. I've been thinking about the Precision Bass, though. I guess I've been feeling bad for leaving it in the case for so long. Maybe I'll see how that plays again, the next time I do some serious practicing, or at least mess around with it for a bit.

I'm glad I have the Mustang PJ for my only version of a Precision, one less to decide which one to play.
