Was that for the Traynor head you started out with?

That was it! The Traynor was a decent head.

Don't you know the person that still has it? I thought you had told me that, but I'm not 100% certain.

I lost track of him years ago. The last thing I even heard of him, he was an upper engineer with Moog.

I wonder if he still has it and it still works? Probably so.

I can't say, but when I bought it, it was as good, or better than the Bassman heads that were out in 1969 / 1970. It sure pushed those 12" Jensen's really well.

I owned a Fender Jazz Bass way back in the early 70s and sold it a few years later (Still kicking my self for selling that bass). I have not owned a J-Bass since then. I recently sold my Peavey Grind 5 string bass and bought myself another Jazz bass (Fender Standard MiM J-Bass), and here she is. It's been a long time coming.

Congrats on the new Jazz. It's hard to beat a Jazz.

Did you change out the pick guard a second time from a solid black one, or was I imagining that?

I like it also. The screw holes matched great. Both the Black, and the Black Motto are a perfect fit.
