Not counting the PG's presently on Jazzes.
The Jazz PG's: 1 Black, 2 White Pearloids, 2 Torts.
The Precision PG's: 1 White Pearloid, 3 Torts.

How many basses do you have, Glenn?
Are you still "rotating" them in and out?

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Hey man. Just with the three Jazzes, and the Mini Monster stack.

At least they still work, unlike half the ones I have right now. :P

Mine better work. They're pretty damn new, that's for sure.

Yeah, the Squier was new when I got it, even though it's at least 3 years old. The other basses are a lot older.

Have you found the problem in the Squier?

I haven't got around to looking at it yet. I do have other instruments, so it's not really too urgent, but I will. I still have two other basses that have shorts in them, too. Those are old and have been through the ringer, though.

One of the things I like about passive basses, over active, they're more simplistic in design.

The only active bass that we have in the collection is the Fender Precision Bass Lyte. It's actually my girlfriend's bass that she bought in the mid 90's and I've used it from when I moved up here (I didn't even have a bass at the time, I had to borrow hers) until about three years ago, when I got the Squier Jazz, then the Schecter. The main reason for that was that's when it started getting issues with shorting. The finish also started peeling off about twelve years ago, so it looks like it's been through a war. It certainly was a workhorse, that's for sure.

I had a couple of Actives, and don't miss them at all. I'm better off with a passive.

I suppose it depends on the sound you're looking for. It's like an artist that uses different type or size of paint brushes.

The lighting on that pic is rather interesting. The bass almost looks like it's glowing. I wonder if it would under black light?

WOW!!! I never thought about that!!! I have a black light we used for Halloween effects when our daughter was younger. If I get a chance, I may check that out tomorrow.
