Funny, they refer to me as Mr. Revolving door over on Activebass.com because I bought and sold some 30-50 basses in about a 3 year period.

Thank you. I like the 3-Color Sunburst, with the Rosewood. I had some Maple, but just wanted the Rosewood when I saw the grain in it.

I've had sunburst and maple before...loved it, but sold awhile back when my wife got laid off. Things are better now and I was recently fortunate enough to buy a new Select Jazz...my new baby.

That's a nice Fender man. What strings do you have on your Select Jazz?

Thanks...as far as strings...I tried Dean Markley nickels for awhile, but didn't care for them. But as soon as I put DR Lowrider steel rounds on it, I loved the way it sounded. I actually started using them on my P bass and Stingray as well. I don't slap either...more of an all around rock player covering classic to punk. The strings are a little sticky the first few days, but have a nice feel after the break in period. They are also a little on the brighter side, but I turn the highs on my amp down to about 11 o'clock, and it does the trick while allowing nice note clarity.
