I though about refinishing it but then thought better of it.....better to let her tell her story.

Part of her story is that I played five nights a week for 8yrs with Billy Peek here in St. Louis, MO. (Billy played with Chuck Berry and later with Rod Stewart on three world tours and is featured "Duck Walking" down the railroad tracks with his "Flying V" in the "Hot Legs" video.)
After his days with Rod, Billy came back to St. Louis and played locally. I joined him in 1990 and we had Hall of Famers Chuck Berry and Johnnie Johnson sit in with us on occasion. Quite a trip...

I got to record with Johnnie Johnson in '92 on Billy's second album. You can check out Billy's story and a song sample here:http://www.partycovemarina.com/GD/billy_peek_story.htm

Johnnie is rockin' out on the second solo of this tune........I'm just trying to keep up ! ! LOL!

This is why I will constantly abuse my Jazz Bass (but without "overdoing" it). I want my guitar to look like that after 30 years.

Kudos to you sir. That is one beautiful Jazz Bass.

I am just curious to know if anyone else has tried or is using the Fender made bass guitar cables and if you can tell a difference over what they were using in the past. Thanks

i had one once and it was ok not anything like monster bass cables (what i use now)

my review a 2 1/2 star bass cable

i like guitar cables more cause i can really get the higher notes well defined ( i do alot of jaco like stuff on my fretless)

Standard fretless. I tooled the pickguard in leather. This was my first go at pickguards. I'd like to know what you all think about it.

Beautiful! And a great idea as well. Really compliments the sunburst perfectly.
