What model is that sunburst? It has like 21 frets, I never saw a Jazz Bass with 21 frets. From what year are those basses?

I no longer have this basses , but they were excellent basses with EMG pickups at 18 volts and both oem pickguards were replaced with tortoise shell . As you may notice i like the tortoise shell look .

This is my son's MIM Jazz Bass. He had me change the pick guard and he won't play any bass without flatwound strings, The spoiled brat!! Oh well I guess he takes after his dad!

Why flat wounds? they dampen harmonics and you cant thump on them

Exactly, You've got a sweet American Standard Jazz bass, which I really want one, and you've got a P-bass too. Yeah it's not a Fender, but we don't care. Everyone is different in tastes and opinions, and you have some good equipment. Be proud of that.

Thanks guys. That really means a lot. I'll try not to get too mushy but i mean it. I got turned down for an audition because i was using said P-Bass and a 100W Trace Elliott Commando combo. So i saved up, with a (now hugely wrong) vision that all musicians wanted was the brand, the biggest, the best. I mean on i side note i fell in love with my Jazz the minute i laid eyes on her (yes it's a she in fact, all three are named :D ). So i had the impression that it had to be the most expensive gear know to man for you to be any good. i love my P, had her since i was 14 and now 22. Sorry for my ramble.

I've just calculated how much i've spent to date on all the bass gear i have (ive also converted it into dollars for your ease).

$4,505.09

Years ago i would never have dreamed of spending that much on anything. I hope the guys who said no to me being in their band are reading this so it shows proof that no matter the expense, i will make myself broke to keep my passion in music alive.

Rant over.
