Hey people,

I'm not anywhere near a bass player but I'm always on the lookout for Fender stuff on craigslist...

I'm wondering, if the bass is in good condition, should I buy it?

Here is a link to it... http://toronto.en.craigslist.ca/tor/msg/1663050576.html

Anything I should check for before buying? What should I offer him? Whats fair? Anything helps!!

Thanks

Ps. this bass is walking distance from my house

Seems to be in good condition, and i love the colour.
I'm sure you could work him down from $350.

it's not mint if it's missing the original knobs. looks like strat knobs in the picture.

for what he's asking you might as well get a new one unless you just-have-to-have-it-in-blue. ;)

Hey guys

Thanks for the responses, I did end up getting it for $340. It was his kids bass and the kid replaced the knobs (2 Volume 1 Tone) for easy reading. The bass is in excellent shape but is as heavy as an elephant.

This is my first bass... I didn't want to buy "new" because I wanted a J-Bass and they go for over $700 w/tax

http://www.long-mcquade.com/products/79 ... z_Bass.htm

And I'm not totally serious about learning it. Also the money I saved can go towards a bass amp now.

Best Regards,
