Well after selling off my last Fender, a P-Bass (which just was not for me). I've been feelin' kind of empty. Yea I got some nice basses.....but still gotta have a Fender!

So found a nice deal on eBay for a new Highway 1 Jazz. Just got it today....and I am really pleasantly surprised! Never played a Highway 1, but I have to say this bass is GREAT! Nice semi transparent Honey Blonde finish. For the money this a featured packed bass. Nice playing neck with the graphite support rods, a Badass bridge, a thicker headstock and nice and light! 8.1 lbs on the scale! And when I took off the pickguard so I can take the clear plastic off....no swimming pool routes! So I can do the ala Jaco thing if I wanted to!

And, I guess this is a new, old stock bass. It is a 2006 and has the anniversary button on the back of the headstock.

The neck was pretty good out of the box, just needed a slight turn of the truss rod. Lowered the action and slapped a set of DR on it. Well what can I say.....sounds like a Jazz Bass! Just what the doctor ordered! :D

Ken, that is an awesome bass. I'm happy for you.
I love my Highway One P, in that same color too.

I was thinking about the tort....but the white has actually grown on me. All the other Jazz basses I've own had a tort pg, so this is a nice change!

I have black version :). Sound's fantastic. Unfortunately i have a neck pickup problem. I like that satin color. No fingerprints anymore. Great USA made bass for fair price.
