Nice deal! I have owned a Fender Mexican Jazz of 1997, and was very satisfied with it.

@ ilovepunkrock:

No, it's not too much. With a better bass, the playability and your sound will improve, and you will enjoy playing bass even more!

GET IT MAN!I GOT A 2000 JAZZ NEW IN 2000 AND THE SALES GUY SCREWED UP THE PRICE AND I GOT IT FOR $1700 NEW ZEALAND, WHICH IS AROUND $800 USA.
ITS ACTIVE DELUXE AND YOU GET A POWERFUL SOUND WITH GREATER TONAL VARIATION,COMPARED TO THE PASSIVE.
I SET IT UP SWEET AND IT PLAYS SWEET.
GOD,I NEVER WANT TO PUT THE THING DOWN,NO $@!&!
