I'm installing a Bad $@! bridge on my MIA Jazz 4 string. Can I use my usual Nickleplated Steel Roundwounds with this bridge? I'm noticing in the string descriptions that they are for ' through the body Fender basses". Also wondering what strings come stock with the Geddy Lee? thanks.

Which badass are you getting? Some of them are for string through and others are for top loaders

Well, since my '96 Jazz has three screws, I was going to get the Bad $@! lll. I don't even see this model on the Leo Quan site, and most vendors do not show different models of this bridge, just different finishes. I can't find anyone who is selling two different loading types of the Bad $@! lll .

I think the badass i has three holes and is top loading, so you would still be able to use the same strings your normally do. But im not certain that it would retro fit your 96 bass.

the bad $@! 3 comes with 3 screws and is supposed to fit the newer Fenders. Wonder why Leo Quan does'nt seem to be making them anymore?

Thanks for the heads up, but it really does'nt apply to me, as this is not a new Jazz American Standard, but a '96 Jazz Mia. Back then, I don't think they had as many different models as they do today. Also, the badass ll would not fit this bass as the badass ll has 5 screws, and my '96 has only 3 screws, which seems to need the badass lll, as it comes with 3 screws. One other thing I have learned is that the badass lll can be used as either top loading, or string through. I got one on Best Bass Gear.com. what I can't figure out is why you can't find them on the Leo Quan site as they seem to have updated their products.
