I recently bought myself the 50th Anniversary Jazz Bass for myself as a birthday present only to come home and find that my wife and daughters had bought me one also. Not sure what to do? Do I keep both, return one or hold onto one for future sale?

And on that note, since you have two of them
Can you offer any help on my original question:
Does this bass come with any kind of "Certificate of Authenticity"
showing how many of these they've made?

Thx

I have heard that too, but I cannot find any direct official word from Fender
on this. If there *is* a certificate, it would help answer that question.

:D ..I waited about 2 months to get the Anneriversary Jazz Bass from AMS...It only has a booklet in it on the 50 years for the Jazz Bass...History...I E-mail someone at fender and they assured me they were all made in the USA,..Even though it does not say Made in the USA on it...They would not reveal Production numbers....Some web sites say 500... How they would know is beyond me.....Also my serial number is like 1000.... Which is wierd considering everyone else says thiers start with a Z....... Which is probabily what USA Guitars start with?????? Beautiful Bass but it will have a pearoild Pickguard...lol.....Rock On..

I am considering bringing one of my basses back.
Four thousand is a lot to spend. If someome is interested in it let me know. Not looking to make a dime, just price plus tax paid.

The bass only has a serial #....
but is there any paperwork in the CASE CANDY that indicates
that your bass is "75 of 500" etc.?

It's amazing that no one can answer this question directly!
