If the fretboard was maple that would be my perfect bass.

A maple board would definitely look good.

A white pearloid pickguard in place of the flat white would also look good...

I'd definitely rock it as-is though.

It has '75 pickups, like the American Vintage '75 Jazz Bass. What are the difference between these and the regular vintage reissue or Custom Shop '60 pickups?

The regular vintage are essentially the 62 reissues. They have a very strong high mid presence, a decent treble (though not as strong as modern), average low and low mids. I'd say overall more midrange than most modern pickups.

The custom 60's are similar to those but slightly overwound. This gives them more low and mid mids while reducing some trebble and a little bit of high mids.

The 75 pickups are brighter than the 62s. They have less low mids, more high mids, and more trebble.

Does anyone know how many of these Fender plans to build? Its in the "Limited Anniversary Series," so I was wondering how limited they will actually be.

 Congratulations,

Mine is on it's way to Europe. I ordered it 2 Months ago.

But as the production has been stopped now, someone should be able to tell us the exact amount that has been built.

Please Fender, if you should see this, post a reply...
