I am curious if anyone out there can tell me what, if any differences (sound, dimensions, Ohms, etc) There are between 0036437000 (Pickup, J-Bass Cort) & part #'s 0058358000 (Pickup, Neck, Jazz Bass) / 0058359000 (Pickup, Bridge, Jazz Bass)? I have a MIM jazz with the Cort's & I am wondering if these "60's" pups are worth a look as an economical upgrade? Thanks!

i think Mexican 2000's model are more on low mids and lacking higher midrange, with lots of highs... and the 60's are a bit darker... to my ears

By MIM 60's pickup are you referring to the pickups used in the MIM classic 60's series?

Yes I meant the pups in the MIM 60's series. This is now moot for I managed to get hold of a new set of SCN's and installed them yesterday. A first test sound install. The bridge pup position was perfect. The neck is off quite a bit so I am repositioning it so the pickguard fits better. The sound of the SCN's is nice, no hum, lots of bark @the bridge and good full sound from the neck. I can mix more than before, there seems to be a few more tones hidden in those mixes. The output seems about the same as the stock pups. Great sound improvement. The tone is much more classic jazz. I can dial Jaco or Geddy or many other smooth sounds. Thanks

SCN's tend to be versatile and with Active Electronics they'd sound awesome.. but to my ears they don't really sound that "raw"..
