Fender makes necks in the 7.5 inch radius.

What do you think the whole vintage reissue line has as a neck radius- 7.5!

Plus there are a whole lot of Japanese and Mexican Fenders that feature that radius.

A lot of players really want a flatter radius because it makes bending strings easier on guitar and bassplayers go with what gives them good action.

thanks anu~

i switched from super light rounds 40-95, then custom light 40-100 flats, im curious how the neck would carry the 45-105 flats or the regular 50-105..

They come with .045, .065, .080, .100 round-wound gauge bass strings.

Although you might have to adjust the neck, .85 & a .105 should not cause problems with the neck.

oh yeah i totally forgot about the classic series plus the american vintage and the roadworn...

aaackkk i wish they'd make one 7.25 radius on a standard jazz with the truss rod adjustments near the nut for easier access..
plus the classic series come with urethane gloss necks... (i'd prefer satin necks)

for the strings thanks much contra im not that tension conscious anymore, back then my tech freaked me out into using only light gauges... but as far as technique... it made me decide that i'd play with light rounds for slap playing, and medium flats for fingerstyle funk, and medium rounds for rock...
