Hey all,

I finally played a GL jazz for the first time, and WOW. I've always seen these things on the wall at guitar shops, but never pulled one down and plugged in. I knew what I was in for tone-wise, but the neck really blew me away. I dont know how much physical difference there is between it and my Jag neck, but the profile makes my Jag neck feel like a big ol' 50's Precision neck.

This brings me to my dilemma: I dont need another bass (especially if you ask my wife), but this is a brand new one on sale for a ridiculously low price ($720). Would I be stupid for passing up this deal? I've got the cash, just not the wife's approval.

...and I've just realized that I once again have GAS.[/i]

I liked the bass a lot, Nice craftsmanship cool details + I love rush, But whoever set up the bass I played wasn't to great at it. It was so bad I couldn't even play the dang thing, if I ever saw a another one with a better set up I'd probably end up playing it for days! :)

Wihile they may have been sent from the factory with a decent setup, by the time we get our hands on them they're out, at least that's a common thought. I've never had a bass , or guitar that didn't need tweaked and have played some that were totally out of whack.

I say it often, play a bunch before you decide, the right one is out there.

Hey. Count up how much all her shoes cost together, count up your total cost in gear, I bet you her's is more. Easy excuse for another bass.
