Guys, does anyone here own an Aerodyne Jazz Bass? I need to know how much it weights! i have a slipped disc in my neck and it's causing lots of problems. i own a Geddy Lee signature J-Bass, and it's on the heavy side. i was thinking maybe the Aerodyne can solve the problem. all i know is that Fender is my sound...i can go even for Re-issues if the weight is right...but i still prefer the Aerodyne cause it's way cheaper. any ideas bout weights?! i just wish they can post the weight of all Fender Guitars and Basses in the Specs section.
Thanx

I don't own one but I have played one a few times. It is about as light as jazz basses get, roughly 7 lbs. A geddy lee is probably around 10 lbs. 3 lbs may not seem like much, but it is a HUGE difference. The body is thinner than most jazz basses and it is made out of basswood, which is lighter than alder. I think it's a very well made instrument, and if you dig the P/J setup, it's a good choice. Also, it's MIJ, which is an improvement over the MIM instruments.
