imo... do not loosen the strings after practice this will damage your fretboard due to changing tension on the neck
regards!

Wipe it off, leave it in tune, and put it ion the stand. If it's in the case, I have less of a tendency to grab it and play.

I only loosen my strings when I'm changing them.

I'm doing it the proper way, I'm not deliberately beating it up im just letting it age naturally and all the scratches and dents it gets will make the bass tell a story unlike road worn basses. May look cool but i'd prefer to wear my guitar myself.

That's why, at some point in my life, I wanted to get a brand new, never before owned Jazz bass, so that I could put my stamp on it, and say it was truly mine, with no previous owners. I was able to do that this year, and as of right now it has a little nick, right down near the bridge, and I put it there. I don't know how, but there it is, and I came by it honestly, because I'm a klutz. No fake relicing here.

I'd do the same.. it would look really cool if its aged naturally not intentionally.. or buying pre worn in basses ain't cool..
