Guys how can you eliminate Finger Squeaking noise using roundwounds while recording?? for pros recording I'm pretty sure they use stainless rounds when they record but when I'm mic-ing straight to the amp its gives a lot of squeak...

If the strings are ultra-new and fresh play them for a couple of hours to get that zing out of them. Aside from that the two things that will reduce "whistle" are technique and treble.

By technique i mean being able to play the line with a minimum of hand movement and - where the fretting hand is moved - to do so quickly and cleanly, ideally away from the strings. In fast passages open strings are your best friend!

By treble i mean simply reduce the top end until the "whistle" is acceptable, remembering that you will lose a lot of bite in so doing.

John Enwistle, when honing the treble bite of his sound in the 1960s, said the brightness and resulting noise of his playing made him go back and really work on his technique. If you want a super bright sound with minimal whistle there is no other way.

Ic.. I was wondering maybe some noise suppressors can clean those up.. I mean like how can Chili Peppers play live so cleaning.. like Flea does use Boomers for instance.. but during the records.. the tracks were clean..
