I'm trying to find a fretless neck for my Deluxe 24 Jazz Bass. If any one can help me I would love you forever. I don't want to pull the frets on this one so I will still have the orignal neck with the bass.

Seeing as how this bass is relatively inexpensive, you might do well to just get a second one and have it defretted. I have a defretted AmDlx Jazz and it plays great even though cosmetically it's not the most professional job.

I think you'll find that getting a fretless neck for this will run you almost as much as a new guitar, especially if you use something like the ones made by Moses Graphite and the like. If you have to modify the neck pocket to fit a third-party bass you'll really be looking at some dough.

Warmoth is always a good option. I'm not sure if their 24 frett necks would be compatible, because they use fingerboard extensions. But you can custom order one to fit the jazz 24 specs. It will cost more to do this, but so long as you make everything else about the neck fairly spartan I'm sure it won't cost too much, certainly not as much as a new jazz bass 24 as suggested earlier.

I'd also check around on E-bay as sometimes it can be unreliable some odd people salvage parts off a bass where other parts have failed making it a bad bass but if you can find a good neck that was on a bad body and which is being sold i'd hop on that check it out.

Sorry, I just double checked Warmoth and they won't do a replacement neck for a jazz bass 24.
