Hello there folks, maybe somebody could lead me in the right direction, I am needing to find a replacement pickguard for my 1981 fender jazz bass. This particular bass is a bit different, if you all remember the early 80's jazz basses, this bass didnt have the seperate control plate, and the knobs are actually mounted to the pickguard. Hope this helps alittle. anywayzz, let me know!

Welcome!

I use:

I find them to be outstanding and they get it right the first time.

Looks pretty good Martian, I've never dealt with them, but lots of info on the site.

I've been dealing with them for years and never once have they been less than 100%. Their turnaround time is excellent too.

I might try 'em for the pearloid pg I've been eyeing...I'm not a pg kinda guy, but the MIM under the pg is just WTH?! :D So I'll ck 'em out too. Thanks for the info btw, and bringing personal experience to the table helps me!

Hi,
I list ten pickguard sources on my REPLACEMENT/UPGRADE BASS PARTS page which you can access by clicking the resources page in my signature, wait for that page to load and then click on the red link that says "REPLACEMENT/UPGRADE BASS PARTS" and scroll about 80% down the page where the Pickguard people start with JEANNIE.

I recently put a beautiful custom brown tortoise pickguard from Jeannie Pickguards on my sunburst 51 RI P-bass. Fit perfectly. I sent the original to make sure. Very fast turn around time. I can highly recommend Jeannie. They have one of the largest material selections around. Email them your make and model for a quote. And you can send your original in to make sure they get it right down to precise placement of every single screw hole.

Good luck!
