My favorite Artist Series bass is the Jaco Pastorius Jazz Bass the regular not the tribute. I love that sort of bass because of the nitrocellulose laquer finish which lets the wood breathe instead that suffocating Urethane finish. Plus with the nitro finish it will be able to relic easily and people could have their own relic Jaco Bass.

While putting the wear on it themselves through gig wear and road wear. Plus the price for the bass is just right unlike some of the other fretless basses from other brands.

The Steve Harris - not big on the metallic but nice bass.

Geddy all the way. Beside having to adjust the neck all the time (which sucks) It's still my #1 out of many.

Steve Bailey for me.I would like a fretted one. I do wonder if I would rather have one passive and with ash body, though. That would niiiiice. But alas, that will probably not be something Fender would do unless I paid them $5000.00 for a custom shop.

Geddy Lee, hands down. I'm partial to Precision basses, but the Geddy Lee would be the only Jazz I would ever want to own.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.
