Hey, does anyone know where i can get a:

A torquise (not sure spelling, the brown one kind of like pearl but brown) pick guard.

and

A fender thumb rest.

P.S Anyone know what the fender thumb rests are made out of?

tortoise shell you're thinking of :)

Just google 'fender pick guards' and you'll get plenty of sources. www.wdmusic.com do loads of styles and even make custom ones.

Again, just google the thumb rest - or ebay it (I love ebay for parts!)

I'd imagine they're made from plastic. Make sure that the PG you get has the holes drilled for a thumb rest (and you'll have to drill holes in your bass) so you can fit it.

It's also worth mentioning that hole patterns DO differ, so shop carefully.

Check out prices online, then go to local music store and support your local community economy. Most music store will discount prices, they just don't show lowest price, they can, but they don't.
