I purchased a 250k push/pull pot from here. http://www.guitarpartsresource.com/elec ... llpots.htm

Instead of receiving a pot with standard threading I got one with metric threading. I called up the store and insisted I got the wrong part. After exchanging many emails and having a phone conversation (which turned into a yelling match) they insisted that the picture on the site was a metric pot.

For the life of me, I'm certain the picture on the site is NOT a metric pot but a standard pot. Since there is nothing to indicate it's a metric pot (it's not even in the metric pot section on their site) I said they need to update their site to avoid the confusion. I was essentially told to go f*#$ myself (not in those words, exactly).

Can someone PLEASE confirm if the picture on their website shows a metric or a standard pot!

It is positively metric. As a matter of fact, I don't think, "standard" push/pull pots are even made.

That is the pot that is displayed on their site. The threading is 3/8", just like normal potentiometers, and like push/pull pots I have used in the past. What I received had a smaller threading.

I just measured, the one I received has a 16mm shaft, which corresponds to mini pots, not standard pots, which are 3/8"

I certainly emphasize with your exasperation. Granted, in this particular situation with metric vs. SAE, the size differs ever so slightly but what does it take for a person (meaning, the place you bought it from) to just tell the truth and admit that he screwed up?

Another problem too, is the spline size. Even if you got the proper 3/8 shaft, who knows which spline you'd get in which case, a metric knob might be necessary.
