There is a panel on the back of it and (2) 9V batteries go in.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!

One more question though...

What kind of batteries does it take? Do I have to go get special ones or can i just get them from any shop?

Thanks

P.S Also..
What do you guys think of the American Deluxe Jazz? Because everyone always talks about old basses but never this one..

No worries, enjoy your new bass when you get it.

Personally I am not a fan of active electronics (too complicated for me :p) but the deluxe basses are certainly lovely basses!
