What's up guys?!
Please help me up to chose some pedals. Cuz I not a pedal's big fan...
Everything was fine until our guitar trade his "Strato" for an Gibson.
Even in front of the amp I almost can't hear me...

We are playing tuned in C G C F, USA J-Bass and Marshalls MB Amp.

Against Gibson "LP" Studio in C, Big Muff, Tube Screamer and Rolland Amp.

By the way, can anyone tell me the year of my J-Bass??
Serial: V140763

Thanks.

Alright, many people may disagree with my opinion on this, but there are ways to cut through the mix, even against his les paul. Midrange midrange midrange midrange. It's a bass player's greatest weapon. Ive tried to go under the guitar with low end, or to push more volume. But the best way to cut through the mix is to excentuate the midrange frequencies.

Marshals aren't the greatest amps for this unfortunately... they don't have a very clear midrange.

You could try getting a boost pedal. I don't think it would work as well as cutting through with the mids.
