Ehhh... I'm hoping that someone's heard about this before and has a solution... Uhh.. So, on the pickguard of my bass... There are definitely some massive air bubbles forming. Like, right next to the pickups, that small little gap between the pickup and the pickguard? Yeah, the air bubbles keep forming there, spreading inwards. It's really screwing up the nice fancy look of the thing. It's all deformed and warped around there now.

WHY?!

Your pickguard came covered with a protective film layer to keep it from getting scuffed before you bought the guitar. It's coming loose.

You were supposed to peel it off. Remove it and your pickguard will look fine.

Don't feel stupid, man... I once bought a Tele on which the pickguard covering had been left for over 10 years. The guard had to be replaced, it was so yellowed... even after I peeled it off, the guard was permanently stained.

At least you caught it before 10 years went by!

10 years?! Dang. I probably wouldn't have caught it for that long had you not suffered the expierence and been able to share it. Hah... thanks a ton. I peeled it off and threw it against the wall in my room, where it's still stuck. I don't think I'll take it down, just as a reminder... Hahah
