Mark Hoppus Good? or Great?
amazing bass player so simple yet so goood. alot of the songs he plays would sound awful with flea or somebody trying to do there thing. btw Angels and Airwaves is really bad.

I think he's quite a good bassist, he does only what is really needed of a bassist, he doesn't overdo it, in some cases yeah it may seem a little over-simplified but the music doesn't demand some amazing sweeping, tapping and slapping lines.

I know, I was just using them as an example of advanced techniques which aren't required in most areas of pop punk.

Or in any pop. Which includes rock, blues, soul, R&B, country, and all types of music that people gnerally enjoy listening too.

Nobody cares about that stuff but other bass players. "The less I play, the more they pay." "There's no money past the fifth fret." Etc.

That said, Mark Hoppus is good enough to play in Blink 182.
