Post subject: how to know the originality of a jazz bass fender

i wanna ask something how to know whether the jazz bass is original or not?
i have a jazz bass fender but there is no information of where does the bass was made.
one thing that i know is there only a serial number wrote in micro-neck plate and the number is 678866.

A serial number on the 3 bolt neck tilt plate in the 600k range means that the neck plate is from a 1976 Jazz bass. That's a strong indication that the rest of the bass is a 1976 Fender Jazz bass but there has to be a consistent look to the rest of the bass.

Can you post a picture(s) of the bass with close-ups of the body and neck?

It is always easier to do these IDs with a few pictures.
