I hope you are not going to ruin your bass by putting that in there! Not to knock you, but I can't see a $15 preamp sounding any better then your stock bass.

I have put one of the things in to my bass the same one. After about 2 hours of working on it to see how it would sound. Plugged it in to my GK backline 210 with a 4X10 Bottom and just to let you know it sounded like my $1,200 jazz bass, transformed in to a $120 No brand Chineese made bass. My Active preamps that I put in to my basses have the same active preamp as the marcus miller sig bass. Overall this active preamp sucks. Just makes me sad that someone would try to put that in to a fender. If your going to put one in go to your Local Guitar center or any other music Instrument store and ask them what ones they prefer, anything over $70 is good.

I just replaced the preamp in my MIA Deluxe Jazz FMT with a Sadowsky preamp. The stock preamp was ok.......but now the bass sounds amazing! That preamp really brought the bass to life. And still using the stock Fender Noiseless pickups. Now that is a $250 preamp, but as I said sounds amazing. A $15 Chinese preamp???? As I mentioned, keep it stock....it'll sound better!

BTW, this Fender now sounds pretty darn close to my Sadowsky basses!
