hey, im chris brand new to teh site, not new to fender.

Right now i am a bit upset with my fender jazz deluxe bass. My brother bought it about 3 weeks ago and while he was playing it about the third day the saddles messed up. The E and the A string saddles somehow lowered at the same time to where it rubbed against the fretboard. So he fixed it with no concern the first time. Well 2 days later at band practice it happened again, thsi time it was the D and the G strings. and since we were at band practice he couldent use htat bass cuase nobody comes euquiped with an allen wrench (which i have now started to do). So he had to use another bass for that practice.

And we got home he fixed it we both examined the bridge and as far as we could tell everything looks perfectly normal. So it happened again today, but were used to it now. But our band has a gig soon, any idea how to fix thsi problem. I was thinking on jsut getting a new bridge, any other thoughts? :x

Take it back to the retailer and get it fixed (for free of course).

I might just be a badly cut thread.

I would personally use it as a good excuse to fit a badass II bridge though ;)

Maybe buy some new saddles to tide you over for the gig? Still shouldn't be at your expense. Is there no way to swap saddles off another bass you own for the gig? :/
