Hi everyone...

I'm new to the forums, so let me say that there is a lot of good info here and it is great to get feedback and first hand knowledge from other players. I joined the Fender community and this forum because I am totally blown away with the Geddy Lee Jazz Bass. I wanted to hear what other people were saying about the bass and see if I could learn more.

Now to my issue: I have not bought one yet, but I am accumulating the cash to buy one this spring. I love the playability of the neck and I think it has really good tonal quality. My dilema is now that I read some of your posts, I wonder about the 'Geddy's' pickups. I have read the recommendations to replace them with DiMarzio's (or others) and just thought I would ask for suggestions. Am I still making a good choice with the Geddy and it will play fine 'stock', or does it just need a little freshen-up with new pickups to push it over the edge?

By the way, in case anyone from Fender actually reads these, as an alternative to black, I think you should offer the Geddy bass in red, without the pickguard like Geddy plays on tour.

Thanks for listening.

Hey man... was wondering if you know the allen wrench size to adjust the Badass Bridge II's action? the smallest I have is a 1.5... but it doesn't fit... I've tried major hardware stores but they do not have any smaller sized wrench.

Thank you!

Alex

I too have a Geddy Lee Jazz bass which i love to death. I dont know much about pickups but i really like the sound that they make just the way they are. I still havnt found that real Geddy sound yet though. I have to fool around with my amp settings more i think to find it. Once i do though i will be really happy
