What is the approx value of a 1969 Jazz bass, all original, in showroom condition, with original case? It is my Dad's & he pretty much kept it under his bed for 40 years...

Values can vary from area to area... depending upon supply and demand for the collectables. Sounds as if yours would bring in a fairly good amount of cash if you were to sell it.

You may wish to familiarize yourself with what that bass is all about by researching features and options from this resource website:

http://www.provide.net/~cfh/fender.html

Look it over carefully and then contact any of the fine, reputable musical instrument appraisal companies for a professional evaluation. I'd suggest this route rather than just looking on the net or on ebay because that bass means alot to you and you should know every detail and get top dollar for it, if those are your wishes.

Generally speaking, the price range is anywhere from $350.00 for a well worn variety to well over $5000.00 for primo equipment. Now, don't get TOO excited, but this page below may get your attention. Look at the reserve price and sorry about the page width. EBay URL's can be a pain in the butt sometimes.......:

I would love to see your father's bass. The first bass that I ever tried was a 68 Jazz bass and it reamins as one of my holy grail instruments. I would love to have a 68 or 69 Fender Jazz in sunburst with a rosewood neck and white block inlays. What a sweet looking bass! :!:
