I was going to post a photo of my old Fender Jazz bass but I don't know how. Maybe someone with more posting experience could let me know how. I don't know what BBCode is either, only that you have an option to disable it when you post.

First, you need to take a picture of your bass and load it onto your PC (which I assume you already did).
Then, go onto an image hosting site - I recommend ImageShack: http://imageshack.us/.
Load up the images. That's pretty straightforward.
Copy what's in the "Thumblink for forums" box (one of the two should work).
Post it and you're done ;)

Thanks for the info. I guess I'll have to do another small learrrning curve here. I'm in the studio today & have no time. Maybe later tonight. You'll know I got it right when the picture posts in the 'pictures of my bass' forum. I did want to send this thanks out before I got too busy and to let you know I did see your reply.

is it an MIM? I like the worn look, like it has a lot of miles in it, not the banged and trashed look, I just like the natural worn look (the been played a lot look). But I think it's a little expensive if its made in Mexico.

I'd rather take my CAD$500 MIM Jazz Bass that's already 10+ years old and trash it myself through years of playing, than pay 1200$ for a new "Road Worn".

Is every other guitar "worn" differently, or is it the same pattern on every one of them?

They're all the same

Well I don't have any real experience with the new road-worn basses, but I also haven't seen any at my local guitar center. I would like to try one out. For some reason they have the strats and teles, but no basses. I am happy they didn't start mass producing the stack knob '62 jazz basses. I play one and stand by it with my life. Let's hope Fender doesn't change their minds about that one. But much power to the road-worn basses. I'm sure they will prove themselves as another great addition to the Fender Family.

After gigging my latest 50sRoad Worn P-bass I was 200% convinced
I had to buy the jazzbass aswell.....
I understand everybody in this tread dislikes what Fender does with their new Road Worn concept but can anybody realy tell me their live playing or recording experience with these new Fenders?????

I thought so.................

I own 4 CS basses: 64CC Jazz, Pino, 59 CS CC and a 55 NOS.
Let me tell you this:

If there wasn't a MIM logo on the bass you couldn't tell the difference!!!
I'm worried the superb qualty of these light weight Road Worn instruments will make a minor difference compared to my CS basses which have cost me a lot of $$. (especialy when you live in Europe)
Still..............next week I will post a review on the Fiesta Red Jazz with HQ pics.
Lets see what this one does on stage...........

Cheerzz,

The

So far I've not had the chance to play one but if they're really as good quality as you say, Theo, then I won't balk too much about the price. I'll let you know after I get to actually play one. For now, however, I think Fender's over-priced these by a few hundred.

I got a chance to play one these a couple of days ago,and it sounded great, but at the end of the day it's still a MIM bass and I can't see myself paying $1200.00 bucks or even $800.00 for one of these.....

I'd pay $800. But not $1,200.

So, yea, I like the look of old worn gear and stuff but there are a few things wrong with new worn gear

1. No history.
What are you going to say when your at a gig with one and someone says"Dude tell me the story of your bass!" What are you going to do? Make something up?

2. Like others have said, they are a little over priced

I'm not saying they are awful...in fact after some of the responses I'm interested in playing one.
