men, thats a really nice bass

I have one fender jazz bass 70'
I put the Seymour Duncan Hot Stack for Jazz Bass
And Rotosound Strings 115'

Do you think i should put some preamp?

Sorry for my english im kind of a learner here

Sounds like you have a nice Jazz. The preamp is a matter of taste. A pssive Jazz is nice in itself, as I have my active Jazz and a passive one.

I use the active one when gigging because I don't use effects pedals, and a need a very wide range of tone.

yep I have a Vintage modified fretless Squier with a badass II

Image

then after a year I replaced the neck with a made in japan block inlays w/ vintage frets, a very solid neck.

Image

replaced the pickups with a standard J bass pickups and electronics- I replaced the entire control plate (came from my other standard jazz bass), then added pickup covers, pickguard, thumbrest and tah-dah!"THE VINTAGE LOOK". The tone slightly improved due to the solid-thicker neck and new electronics.

I had to remove the Badass II bass bridge and install the threaded saddles because I just like the look and to make the bridge pickup cover fit.

The pickguard that I got already had holes for the thumbrest which makes it easier

Image

I got it at basspartsresource.com

they have the 62' pattern where the thumbrest is located on the bottom ( beside the G string just like mine)
or the 70's pattern where the thumbrest is located above the E string

Seymour Duncan Hot Stack Jazz pups, Gotoh 201 Bridge, Gotoh vintage style reverse tuners, Fender TBX tone, 500 K pots, Warmoth Jazz neck, and P-Bass body.

Probably a rare combination, but I like it.

Pretty much just Straplocks and a new black pickguard. Oh, and a thumb rest is next. That's probably gonna be it.

That thing RAWKS, Markbass!

I've built two Jazz Basses using those Allparts "chocolate tuxedo" necks -- one for me, one for my brother. I love that look.
