Just got a Fender Jazz 24 4 string with active pickups. I know that one knob is the volume. What are the others? There is one knob that is stacked. Someone told me that one was bass and one is treble and one is for mids. The last is for adjusting between the neck pickup and the back pick up. Can anyone tell me exactly which one does what?

Thanks....

Well first we'll start with the 2 closest to the top (when holding the bass in playing position). The first knob, to your left, is your volume. It is also a push/pull knob and when you pull it out it bypasses the active preamp and gives you a passive tone. If you don't know what this means it basically means that your bass, treble, and mid controls on the bass are no longer functioning and your EQ is coming from your amp only. The second knob, the your right, is your pickup selection.

The bottom stacked knob is your bass while the top stacked knob is your treble. That would make the only remaining knob your mids. And of course you have the switchable mid scoup which adds some more low end or "beef."

I hope that was helpful!!
