The control knobs on my Jazz don't work all of the time. Sometimes I turn the bridge or neck pick up(both)and nothing happens. If I turn the knob back and forth the connection is finally there. Sometimes it stays, sometimes it cuts out. Any ideas what the problem could be? The bass is a Standard Jazz, MIM. (1992)......Thanks.

I got the bass checked out and it was just dirty. No charge for the fix. Thanks.
