I have myself a Squier Vintage Modified 70's Jazz Bass...lovely. It's got to be one of the best basses I've played. (not just because I own it)

But anyway, I was looking to get a Badass II Bridge put into it, and this is where I need some questions answered.

Is it a easy fit? Is it the same size as the factory bridge? Will I be able to just screw it on, or will I have to drill new holes? (I REALLY, REALLY, need this answered)

And just curious, how exactly does the Badass II change the action of the bass?

Thanks everyone. :D

Assuming the bridge currently fitted is a reasonable replica of the standard Fender bridge, the Badass II should screw right on. You will almost certainly need to mess with action and intonation adjustments a bit. If you can, ensure that you get a pre-slotted Badass - it will be that much easier to set up.

I agree...

Other than screwing the bridge in & if it is pre-slotted, you are starting from scratch in relation to the adjustments (intonation & action).
