I purchased a 75 RI recently because I thought it was Northen Ash, however I don't think that it is the Northen Ash of what the true 70's bass was because

1. It really isnt heavy at all ( my 74 is A LOT heavier )
2. Doesnt have the bite that the real 70's basses have
3. I'm also not sure that the neck is true Rock maple as oppose to the 70's basses
4. pickups sound ok,but not like the real thing

I don't know
