I'm a 45+ years guitarist that has just started playing bass. I was given a Gallien- Krueger MB150E from a friend that told me it didn't work. ( a friend of his found it on the curb waiting for trash pick-up...hard to believe but true ) All that was wrong was the speaker select switch was in the wrong position... one push and on she came ! I used it with a processor for guitar, but I'm a tube guy so put it away for a while untill I bought my Jazz. Does anyone use this set-up and what settings do you like? I play mostly classic rock...'60's-'70's stuff.. at home, in my rec room with some friends at pretty low volume... my wife won't let us crank it up, might disturb the neighbors. How about some opinions. The Jazz still has the strings Fender ship it with but I have a set of Half Rounds waiting to go on when these wear out.[/b]

Welcome to the forum steve !
Start with a flat eq and then adjust to your liking!

Always start w/flat eq to an amp you just got and adjust accordingly as per stated before by Juan. As far as strings, change 'em when ever you need to. Have fun man.
