Aloha, I just purchased a new Jazz Bass and boy am I stoked. I used to have a 69 or so Lake Placid Jazz, but sold that one many moons ago. I am very pleased with this bass. It plays like butter, no dead spots. It is a beauty!!!!

Thanks for the warm welcome. I did some mods to my Mexican Jazz, I put on a Badass bridge, and replaced the pickups with some DiMarzio Ultra Jazz. It sounds much better now with the changes. Although I really like my new 08 jazz. I had a 69 back in the day, I sold it one year for christmas money. One of the many mistakes I have made.

I like the BadAss bridges (ck sig  )
We all make mistakes. I don't hold any regrets with previous basses I've sold, but I will never sold my '87 - due to sentimental value.

How do you like the Power Jazz? I was looking into those a while back. Is it a USA? or MIM?

I love it. It's modded, not stock. MIJ - mid '80s.
