My bass sounded distorted, thought battery was dieing. Replaced with new. Bass was dead. Turned battery around.dead. Bought new Battery. dead.Got home pulled apart .Nothing visual. Noticed minimal sound. Tried more batteries. Still only wee bit o sound.Fiddled and farted with jack, batteries, moved wires around, nothing changed. Stumped??? Could battery backwards have caused problem?????

This happened once for me, it was my Stu Hamm, the jack wire was loose. Got it resoldered and it was fine.
