Hi:

The only thing I did to mine was to get rid of the balck "Strat Knobs" and put the Vintage Fender Jazz Knobs on, and put a red tortice-shell pickguard on it.

I like the playability and sound of it...all I did was alter the look.

The bridge is solid, it sounds good so I'm leaving those alone or until something breaks or wears out

I had a MIM jazz bass and the only thing that I changed was the pickups. I installed EMG and converted it to 18 volts instead of 9 . And put a tortoiseshell pickguard. Also replaced the control knobs.

I had a wine red fretless MIM. It came with a white pickguard and I changed it to black. It really looked nice. I also put in a set of Fender Original Jazz Bass pickups.

I recently ordered a white MIM Jazz Fretless.

Removed the white pickguard and replaced it with a tortoise shell.

Put on a neck pickup cover.

Looks just like a 60's

:D

:D I’m satisfied with how my MIM Jazz bass looks so the modification that I did is all about improving the sound, I first replaced the stock bridge with a high mass Badass bass bridge, then I replaced the stock standard pickups with a Samarian cobalt noiseless pickups and partnered it with a Audere pre-amp (http://www.audereaudio.com/JZ3.htm#). Here’s a sound test video of my modified made in mexico FSR jazz bass. :
