I just bought a new American Deluxe Jazz Bass... and on the bottom of the neck right above the hole to adjust the truss rod the finish is messed up, like there was an air bubble that got chipped off. Now the finish around the messed up part is white-ish (as in air is under it). How can I fix this, or prevent the problem from spreading?

Take it back, it's under warranty since you said you got it new. They (Fender) should be able to fix it or come up with a solution that is favorable to you.

Could I just take it to a Service Center?
