Hi, EVeryone.
I plan to transform(?) Squier VM J to "sound like" Fender 75 Reissue.

One of the change, I wanna change the pots to 250K.
If you have squier MV J and experience on fixing or repairing,
Please let me know the size of Potiometer.
I think this is Mini size. Smaller than Fender regular ones.

IN ADDITION

If have experience on Squier VM Upgrading or any other...
Share me some advice. I will thank you.

Here's my upgrade list.
1) Neckplate change (different hole gap, so I will make one new or expand)
2) One pickup to 60 custom shop ( I think stock one's fine, though)
3) Pots to A250Ks
4) Knobs to black vintages
5) Neck Finish Adding with Decal Chang to Fender
6) Tuning Gear with 70's vintage (w. fender embeded)
7) Body refinishing with little whitening(only plan)

#7 is kinda extra. If possible only. ^^*.

It's a good starting point, but it will always be a Squier, nothing wrong with it. I love my VM, but I realized it will never be a Fender. I have a Fender too tho. I got the VM thinking it'll be my Super Squier, but money is kinda an issue  . It's going to take awhile, but I'll get it there, someday.

I do not like the sound of that.
If it says Squier now, then it should continue to say Squier.

Ooh, I missed that one. Why would you want to do that? A Squier is a Squier, part of Fender, but not a Fender. :x

haha. Yep, so many people say so.
I will leave back head decal, which says "Squier by Fender".
Thank you for this pointing advice. ^^;

The Squier VM already sounds like a 70's Jazz bass to me! I wouldnt change anything with the exception of the bridge !

And take off the pg... On a serious note, I was going to put EMG HZ, but the reason I got this bass because it sounded like a '70s bass, that's why I decided to leave the stock Duncan Designed on 'em. I'm putting 7350M rounds on it, I'm done with the flat sound, for now. I love the stainless sound.
