Hello All,

I am in need of some assistance. YouTube has no answer, the Fender Website has no answer, and for some reason, I can't find my manual.

The ISSUE: I use a Fender Deluxe Active JBass V for some songs at gigs as well as two Ibanez SR Premium (1305 and 1405) basses.
Recently, my Fender Jazz bass' sound output dropped out completely. My first thought was replacing the two 9-volt batteries that drive the equalizer in active mode, before I check the jack connection or anything else. So I opened the two battery covers, and each side-by-side battery holder oh-so-nicely tilted upward and back (imagine a punter's foot coming up, connecting, and lifting the football into space) to make access easy. So far, so good; but then, surprise!
Dummy me can't figure out how to actually get the batteries OUT of their carriers; I mean, I don't see any catch release switch, or button that will set them free from the holder to come out, and I certainly don't want to tug on the carriers and damage something.

Can anyone explain how in Hades you release the batteries from their carriers? Many thanks in advance!
