I wonder what happened to all of it? Then again, sometimes I've wondered what ever eventually became of some of the stuff I've had. How many people have it been passed on to, if at all. It's funny how you spend a lot of time and your emotions and energy with something, that often winds up going somewhere else, unless you always hang on to it, which some people do.

The Rogers drum set was purchased by my friend, and stayed in south Florida. The rest was flown back to the San Francisco Bay area.

Who knows what eventually became of that? Maybe it's still around there somewhere. You never know with gear.

Dickie Peterson died in October of 2009. Knowing him, he must've used some of it until he no longer played. “Louder Than God”.

He was using an Ampeg SVT rig in some of the last concert videos I've seen of him. Imagine he's been gone for over 10 years now. I remember when he died, and when their last album came out in 2007. I still have the free download track that I got from them for some reason, maybe signing up for their newsletter on their site, or whatever it was, from that album. I wasn't even even doing any social media at the time, other than maybe some forums that might have been around, maybe even an early account here. There used to be stuff like Harmony Central, which was a big one for that. Did you ever have an account there? I think Guitar Center wound up owning it eventually. I don't even know if it's still around, at least as far as a forum is concerned.

I could see him using the Ampeg. A powerful ballsy amp. 11 Years this October he died. I was floored when I heard it. Paul Whaley died on Jan. 28, 2019.

Wow, he did? I don't remember that happening. Maybe I must have missed that. I know we've lost so many musicians from the 60's era these past several years now.

I got a call from a mutual friend, telling me that Paul had died, the day after he left us. He was living in Germany until his end. He was one of the first, if not the first to wear golf gloves while playing his drums with Cheer. He was definitely one of the finest drummers around. It's nice to know his original Rogers set is owned by a friend, and not on display at a Hard Rock Cafe, or some crap like that.

Dickie died in Germany, as well. I take it both of them lived there, then? Does that friend play on that drum set?

I'm not sure if Dickie lived in Germany as well. I don't know if Nick has been playing them lately. He acquired the entire set. Cases, traps, cymbals, drums, etc. An absolutely beautiful Rogers set.

It certainly has some history attached to it, as well.

You can tell from that pic, they were such a "quiet" band. :P
