So what's the best amp to play a Fender Jazz through? Of course, a FENDER!! In this case a Rumble 500. The bass is my reborn '72 Jazz, now sporting Nordstand NJ4SV hum-cancelling pickups and all new CTS pots. The photo is from the first gig after I swapped out the pickups and pots. Gotta say, it sounded amazing!! Certainly the 47 years old pickups were showing their age and just didn't have the punch of the Nords. Also hands down, the Rumble is an amazing amp. Got the matching 2x10 cab as well for bigger stages. Be it my Fender or my Fodera, they both sound awesome through the Rumble. And Kenny is enjoying it too!

Yeah, I don't think you can go wrong with Fender going through Fender amps. Cool bass, by the way. I've been GASing for a Jazz that looks like that. Probably because I was watching some videos about Aston "Family Man" Barrett, from The Wailers, and a ton of other reggae stuff, and that's what he's played for years. :P What kind of strings do you have on it?

Right now D'Addario XL170 Nickel Round Wounds. But I also use DR Nickel Low Riders & Sunbeams. I actually want to see how a set of nickel Fodera strings sound on it, may put those on next.

I use Fodera Anthony Jackson signatures on my Steve Bailey Jazz. I just got a Markbass Ninja half stack that I haven't played through yet.
