I have to say, that does look interesting. It also reminds me of a couple of other signature basses he's had, especially with that pickup. I guess he does have certain specs that he requires for his basses, so that's probably why.

Kinda sorta of Fender-meets-Modulus.

There are few differences between the production model and his own personal stage basses.

1. transitional headstock decals

2. single Lane Poor humbucker

3. side dots only

4. different finishes (including LA Lakers custom graphics)

5. BadAss III bridges

Some of his basses are roadworn relics.

Yeah, I've noticed that sometimes might be the case between personal custom models, and signature ones based off of them.

It's not the first time Fender uses MM-style humbuckers on their basses.

These pickups were already present on the now discontinued Pawnshop Reverse Jaguar Bass.
