When it comes to parts, I try not to need them as I may have in the past.

I've never really dealt with that, other than swapping out a couple of bridges, and I did get a set of tuners to restore a nylon string/Spanish guitar that someone gave me. The tuners on it were screwed up pretty good, and that did the trick. I wish I still had that guitar, since I like playing on those. Segovia I'm not, though. :P

One day I may go through the parts, to see what really are parts to hang on to.

Not as much as I did at one time. But I have just a few things like amp power cords, etc.

Well, those are pretty universal with stuff like computers, too. We have a few cords from old computers, hanging with the cable stash, which is old coat hooks on a board, since the studio was a walk in closet at one point. They will fit in an amp socket, or I suppose you could use an amp power cord for a computer, if you want.

As long as they can carry the load some amp heads require. The SB uses 900 Watts to power it.

There is that. My Ampeg says 200 watts, where the power cord jack is. I guess that's the whole Class D design, with using less power.

Oh yeah,........ Power tubes draw a lot more power to run them than SS heads do.

Yeah, I think the Class D systems even less power than your traditional SS heads, as well.

Yes Paul, I think you're right about that.

Well, it certainly is a lot lighter.

It truly is amazing the power that can be generated from the small SS heads. I would just hope they don't put out to much heat as the push the higher power.

Don't they usually run cooler than the traditional type? I know my PF-800 has a cooling fan, but I've seen some Class D amps that don't even have one. I'm not sure if the Fender Rumble 350 combo has one, but there is some sort of venting in the back of it.
